چکیده

Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the most widely grown vegetable crops in China, with widespread cultivation worldwide. Fruit weight (size) a complex trait controlled by multiple factors and an essential determinant pepper yield. In this study, we analyzed transcriptome two recombinant lines different fruit weights, ‘B302’ ‘B400’, at five developmental stages to reveal some differentially expressed genes mechanisms controlling weight. The results showed that 21,878 differential were identified between specimens. Further analysis revealed Boron transporter 4 was significantly highly large-fruited almost not all small-fruited pepper. CaAUX1, CaAUX/IAA, CaGH3, CaSAUR, other related Auxin signal transduction pathway but reduced addition, comparison transcription times such as CaMADS3, CaAGL8, CaATHB13, CaATHB-40 pepper, these may be expansion. Through weighted gene co-expression network (WGCNA), MEorangered4 module shown have significant correlation weight, key modules constructing hub core interactions map regulating APETALA 2 found. conclusion, find expression relevant it hypothesized play roles development size occurring phytohormones regulate size.

Proteome analysis of bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) chromoplasts.

We report a comprehensive proteome analysis of chromoplasts from bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The combination of a novel strategy for database-independent detection of proteins from tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) data with standard database searches allowed us to identify 151 proteins with a high level of confidence. These include several well-known plastid proteins but also novel protei...

Role of Ascorbate on the Fruit Physiology of Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

Ascorbate (vitamin C) is essential for cell metabolism, and its supply to the human diet derives basically from the consumption of fruits and vegetables. Several biosynthetic pathways of ascorbate have been reported in plants, the major physiological one being the so-called Smirnoff-Wheeler pathway. Ascorbate is a powerful antioxidant in plants, although it also plays an important role in hormo...

Antioxidant activity of the main phenolic compounds isolated from hot pepper fruit (Capsicum annuum L).

Four cultivars (Bronowicka Ostra, Cyklon, Tornado, and Tajfun) of pepper fruit Capsicum annuum L. were studied for phenolics contents and antioxidant activity. Two fractions of phenolics, flavonoids (with phenolic acids) and capsaicinoids, were isolated from the pericarp of pepper fruit at two growth stages (green and red) and were studied for their antioxidant capacity. Both fractions from red...

Transcriptome Analysis of Pepper (Capsicum annuum) Revealed a Role of 24-Epibrassinolide in Response to Chilling

Brassinosteroids (BRs) have positive effects on many processes during plant growth, development, and various abiotic stress responses. However, little information is available regarding the global gene expression of BRs in response to chilling stress in pepper. In this study, we used RNA sequencing to determine the molecular roles of 24-epibrassinolide (EBR) during a chilling stress response. T...
